Campaign Creative
As the campaign lead for NLP’s annual National News Literacy Week initiative, launched in partnership with the E.W. Scripps Company in 2020, I oversee every aspect of planning, execution and follow-up reporting, including the development of PSAs and other creative, the design and content of the landing page (NewsLiteracyWeek.org) and the placement and creative oversight of pro bono ads with partner news organizations. This year, we secured digital and print pro bono placements in The New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Buzzfeed, Vox, ProPublica and others.
Key messages: “Exercise your right to be well-informed” / “Be a healthy news consumer” / “Test your news literacy fitness.”
